Have Fun Playing Casino or Online Craps

Craps is definitely a more complicated game than many others – but that’s why so many people enjoy playing it. It challenges them and keeps them coming back for more. Whether you want to enjoy a game of Craps at the casino or online, there are a number of things you should understand about how the game is played.

The Basic Rules of Craps

Craps are played with two dice that are rolled, thereby making the possible numbers between 2 and 12. The most confusing thing about craps is the layout of the table – there are a lot of different bets that you can place that create a confusing look. But, don’t get scared off! During most craps games, only one bet is placed and it’s only placed at one place on the table – that gives you the chance to ignore most of the chaos that’s going on.

Placing a Craps Bet

The basic idea of the Craps bet is to gamble on whether or not the person doing the rolling will get a certain combination. You aren’t competing with the person rolling the dice or with anyone else. You want the person rolling to land on certain numbers – and the house or dealer does not want them to do so.

Understanding the Pass Line Bet:

The Pass Line Bet – This is a series bet, which means that the person rolling the dice (the shooter) might roll multiple times before you either win or lose. The first roll in this series is called the come-out roll and it’s unique in the series. Your chip is placed on an area of the table called the “Pass Line.”

On a come-out roll, 7 or 11 are automatic winners and the series ends. 2, 3, or 12 (also known as craps) are Pass Line losers and the series also ends. If any other combination is rolled (4,5,6,8,9,10) then this becomes the shooter’s point and the series will have a chance to continue.

When this occurs and the series continues, the shooter continues to roll the dice. The goal now is to roll their “point” number before they roll a 7.

So, now when the shooter rolls there are a number of things that can happen. If any number other than the point or the 7 is rolled, the shooter just keeps rolling. If the point is rolled, Pass Line bets have won and the series is over. If a 7 is rolled, Pass Line bets lose and the series is also over.
